A wonderful group of artists have sent us their interpretation of our
bugs and those images can be found in The Silverfish Gallery.
The Gallery is updated regularly - go have a look!
It was called "HA!" and was more in the vein of real life/true tales (auto bio,
not Silverfish). It was a joint venture from a couple jokers from the Van Halen
Mailing List (VHML) and if you'd like to see it, contact John Q.
Rob Jackson supplied the story for Ha!. Check out his Conventicle list at Yahoo.
Here's what Tim Corrigan (SPCE) had to say about Ha!...
"The "drugs are fun" message that comes through this I find rather troubling.
As a youth, I had a number of friends who "expanded their minds" all over the
highway at 90 mph! Drugs are dangerous. Still, this has some very humorous
moments, and the last panel is a hoot! Just keep it in perspective. If you
wanna expand your mind, get a set of encyclopedia's and subscribe to National
Geographic - it's safer."
Quite some time ago, NEC ran a Bobo & Larry contest. Bobo & Larry were these
two apes and NEC provided the shell of a three page comic story and fans were
invited to fill in the vacant parts to make a finished product. We decide to
give it a go and here's what we came up with. Grand prize was original art or
some such goodie (we didn't win), but we did get a prize.
I happen to think it turned out pretty nice, (especially Bob's coloring job!),
but you can judge for yourselves.
NEC provided everything except the following (which readers were asked to supply)...
Story by cryin' sharks
Logo by cryin' sharks
Page 2, panel five by cryin' sharks
Page 3, panel one - word balloons/letters by cryin' sharks
